Work Shower

Baby Jaden had his last shower yesterday. My sweet co-workers "showered" us with gifts and great food. I didn't get any pictures of the gifts, but I did get a picture of the super cute cake before it was cut. We have been so blessed to receive so many of the essentials, I can't believe he will be here in 4 weeks or less!

Can I blame it on being blonde or pregnant?

I went to the Post Office to get stamps. I asked the nice lady working there how many stamps were on a roll. 100 she said. I replied, "How much will they cost?"

I am pretty sure multiplying ANY number by 100 is considered simple math... And I know stamps are .44

I didn't even apologize for my "moment." Just paid my money and left :)

Flood of 2011

On May 22, Brett had I were able to go out in the backwater and see firsthand the flood. To say it was devastating would be an understatement. It was so unbelievable to see houses that all was visible was the roof. Now that the water has gone down, everyone is beginning the clean up/moving process. To say this overwhelming is putting it lightly. I think these pictures are pretty close to being the highest the water got.

Second Baby Shower

Saturday was Jaden's second shower. It was at Parkview in the fellowship hall and could not have been nicer! The decorations were so cute, the food was wonderful and the turnout was great. Jaden got A LOT of nice things, and a lot of the necessity things we needed! We couldn't be more thankful for all our family and friends that have "showered" us with gifts to help prepare for his arrival.
